Let me first of all thank you for taking the time to read this. Although I am only now starting, I have big plans for the future of this site, and I’ll need your help in doing keeping readership strong.
However, I’ve been told that successful blogs require three things, namely: catering to a niche market, providing a fresh spin on things and putting out lots of content.
As an editor for one of the top collegiate newspapers in the country, I understand these challenges better than most. And, if you read or view my work in print, you may see some overlap.
But I think this site offers me too many opportunities that I can’t access via print and that are stymied by the format of social media alone. And because Georgia State and the city of Atlanta offer so many different places, events and people to write about, I’d be a fool to ignore them by focusing through only a single medium.
Yes, putting out something worthwhile on your own can be a daunting task, but I’m also confident that I can produce a product most would be interested to read. So here I stand — ready to answer.
Tell me how I do.
